The biggest wedding photography prize in the world

The Wedding Brasil Photography Prize has the purpose to reveal the talent of social photographers and, mainly, to foment the art and development of photography, giving value initially to the wedding universe. In this first edition we invite you, professional and amateur photographer, to participate in the Wedding Brasil 2010 Contest and in this challenge: to be one of the winners of the biggest wedding photography prize ever given in the world.

The author of the best photography chosen by the jury among the categories making of, ceremony, and party, will receive the title of first place, the prize¹ of 10 thousand reais², and the winning photography in the category popular jury³ will receive 2,5 thousand reais. Besides, the 2nd to 10th place receive:

2nd place R$ 6.000,00 (R$ 5,000.00 em dinheiro² and R$ 2,000.00 in products by Editora Photos)

3rd lugar R$ 3,000.00 (R$ 2,000.00 em dinheiro² and R$ 1,000.00 in products by Editora Photos)

4th to 10th place R$ 500.00 (in products by Editora Photos)

Popular Jury R$ 2,500.00 (R$ 2,000.00² in cash and R$ 500.00 in products by Editora Photos)

¹ The first place will also have his/her work broadcasted in an exclusive editorial in the magazine Photos & Imagens, and the 2nd to 10th places will have their work broadcasted in an article about the contest in the Portal Photos. The 10 (ten) finalists, plus the photo selected by the vote of the popular jury, will be printed in fine-art paper and will be shown all around Brazil, in form of photography exhibit.

² Gross prizes. The value is subject of tax charging at the source.

³ In case the most voted photography by the popular jury is among the 10 (ten) finalists in the votes of the contest's official jury, the choice of the vote of the official jury will prevail, and the winning photography in the category Popular Jury will be the second most voted by the public and so on, until the author is not among the 10 finalists.

4 There is no extra enrollment fee for the contest, you must only enroll for the congress. After payment is confirmed, organization will send you instructions by e-mail on how to send your photographs. Those enrolled only for the workshops will not be able to compete in the contest.

5 Each author shall inscribe 03 (three) photographs and can only get one prize. Thus, in case you have more than one photograph chosen, the others (with less votes) will be disqualified.

6. The Wedding Brasil Prize of Photography will not have a specific prize for each category. The 10 (ten) finalists will be chosen through the general points given by the contest's official jury.

7. The deadline for sending of photographs for the contest is 15:00 of 03/25/2010.
